Finish off your wedding day in style by choosing a reception venue to match! Sydney is a city with an amazing range of great wedding reception venues to make your day even more special as you eat, drink, dance, kick back or kick on into your wedding night!

You might like a restaurant close to the Harbour, or deep in the city. Perhaps a cruise on the Harbour with the setting sun is your style, or you might like to live it large with many function centres offering entire floors with seating and room for big weddings. Try the Rocks area with it's old world class, or get high in the sky with the unbelievable views from some Sydney city reception venues!

Ormeggio at the Spit Mosman Google maps	Ormeggio at The Spit specialises in contemporary Northern Italian cuisine with a regional focus on chef Alessandro's home region of Lombardia. The adjoining kiosk reflects the Italian heritage serving great coffee and Italian style panini focaccia. Wedding guests will thoroughly enjoy the view over the water as the sun slowly sets in the evening. Up to 150 guests and right on the water - just the perfect place for a beautiful wedding!

Taronga Zoo Function Centre Mosman Google maps	Taronga Zoo function centre is a great reception location for your wedding with several floors giving you a number of flexible options for room hire and catering. Large weddings easily accommodated in the bigger function rooms. The views from the higher levels are quite spectacular over Sydney Harbour towards the Bridge and Opera House. Ask about a Zoo tour and have your wedding photos with your favourite animal!

The Gunner's Barracks Mosman Google maps	The Tea Room at the Gunner's Barracks is a spectacular wedding reception venue with classic old world style and a view to die for. Once a military outpost to protect Sydney Harbour from invasion it is now a very secluded and beautifully maintained restaurant. The decor inside is old world, simple, and has a timeless elegance that adds a classic look to a wedding. The courtyard area is a popular wedding ceremony location, also try the lower lawn for another ceremony spot. The main room inside is of moderate size, accommodating around 80-100 guests seated. Photo locations abound at the Gunner's Barracks, with a great range of shots possible all in walking distance. A short drive would also see you at Chowder Bay or Bradley's Head.

Doltone House Pyrmont Google maps	Doltone House on Jones Bay Wharf at Pyrmont has a number of great rooms available for a wedding reception. The staff are excellent to deal with and very organised with a lot of experience as they often have a number of receptions per night. They have a range of decoration options to choose from. The food was excellent and the atmosphere intimate but with plenty of room for a large wedding. Pyrmont is a great location, very handy to Sydney city and the Rocks area for photos.

The Bathers' Pavilion North Shore Google maps	Bathers' Pavilion on Balmoral Beach is an iconic reception venue. Perfectly situated right on the beach front Bathers' has a lovely laid back style, and the openness and space inside, combined with the top floor outside deck, makes this a great place to relax, talk, and drink with friends and family after a hard day getting married! There are the obvious photo locations of Balmoral Beach and the Rock Island nearby, also a good place for an outdoor wedding ceremony.

Curzon Hall Epping Google maps	Curzon Hall is a wonderful wedding and reception venue. It is an old estate house located in Marsfield and is quite convenient to Sydney CBD. As you can see in the photo it is a beautiful old building, almost a castle, and has some wonderful features such as the fountain at the front, the second level balcony area, and a picturesque garden for a great ceremony venue. The interior is also stunning with a grand staircase and old of the old world features you would expect in a house of this vintage. The venue offers several separate rooms of varying size, so be aware you might be sharing the venue with another wedding (or two) on the day. The main hall is large and the best of the rooms, easily seating 100-130 guests. Highly recommended.

QVB Tea Room Sydney CBD Google maps	The Tea Room in the QVB is an iconic wedding reception venue. Centrally located and within close reach of some great Sydney locations the QVB is a great place for the end of a wedding day. Situated on the top floor of the QVB the Tea Room is a grand hall style room with high ceilings and capacity for approx 150-200 guests. Beautifully finished in classic old world style the low lighting is moody and creates a lovely intimate atmosphere.

L'Aqua Darling Harbour Google maps	L'Aqua is a wonderful wedding reception venue right in Darling Harbour and views from it's top floor location towards Star City. A medium sized venue capable of approx 100-150 guests, it has a light and open feel about it. The sun sets right into the venue and can be a beautiful end to your wedding day / start of the wedding night!

Le Kiosk Manly Google maps	Located right on Shelley Beach the Le Kiosk restaurant is a lovely wedding reception venue and is especially popular for those holding the ceremony on Shelley Beach itself. The venue is great for a smaller wedding with capacity for under 100 guests. The outdoor and under cover area is a great place for canapes and drinks while you watch the light slowly fade over Manly.

Quay The Rocks Google maps	Quay restaurant is part of the Overseas Passenger Terminal and with a placement at the northern end it has unsurpassed views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. It is well known for it's fine dining but does cater for smaller sized weddings with a top floor area capable of 100-120 guests. The views are fantastic, and the location in the heart of the Rocks Area is fantastic.

Pilu Restaurant Northern Beaches Google maps	Pilu Restaurant on Freshwater Beach has a reputation for outstanding food and service. The restaurant is a converted house so the rooms are open plan but separated, giving it a cozy and home like atmosphere. Pilu's location is amazing, right on Freshwater Beach, but it has a private outlook away from the crowds. It is not a huge venue, seating is possible for around 80-100 guests, but the outside areas can handle a lot more. Be careful of their firm policy for 6pm starts as this can be tricky to plan your wedding day around.

Moby's Restaurant Northern Beaches Google maps	Moby's Restaurant is right on Whale Beach and is a fantastic wedding reception venue. It is a large venue with seating for at least 100 guests, and has a large open plan main dining area with windows and views over Whale Beach. The beach itself is a great place for wedding photos, and you might take advantage of being outdoors by holding the ceremony close by on the beach, Malo Reserve at the south end, or one of the spectacular headlands.

Athol Hall North Shore Google maps	Athol Hall is a wonderful wedding reception venue right on Sydney Harbour and near Taronga Zoo and Bradley's Head (both great photo locations). The Hall itself is smallish so don't expect to seat hundreds, but it has a large lawn which is a lovely place for a wedding ceremony, game of cricket, or whatever you like! There are views over the city with Centrepoint Tower and the Harbour Bridge both visible. Athol Hall has an old world charm that is unlike so many reception venues. It is right in the heart of the city, but feels like you're miles from anywhere.

Manly Pier Restaurant Northern Beaches Google maps	Manly Pier Restaurant is a deserved favourite for wedding receptions in Manly. It is positioned right on Sydney Harbour with fabulous views over the Manly Wharf, the East Hill and right out to Sydney Harbour Heads. At sunset on a summers day the outlook is simply stunning and the terrace area is perfect to take it all in. You can easily hold your wedding ceremony on this terrace, so the venue is a good option for an all in one wedding venue. Manly Pier venue is of moderate size, accommodating around 80-100 guests, but this may change with a refurbishment currently underway.

Orso Restaurant The Spit Northern Beaches Google maps	Orso is located right on the Spit - the road between the North Shore and the Northern Beaches. It has a fantastic outlook over the yachts and Clontarf Beach.

Pymble Golf Club St Ives Google maps	Pymble Golf Club is located in St Ives and has a great set up for weddings. The golf course itself is immaculate and the green rolling hills and fairways are quite lovely. There is a large main room with seating possible for medium to large weddings. A ceremony can be held on the first tee or inside or on a large balcony.

Nielsen Park Kiosk Eastern Suburbs Google maps	Greycliffe Lawns are next to Greycliffe House in Nielsen Park. They are a lovely private location for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Nielsen Park itself is a great place for wedding photos and the Nielsen Park kiosk is a wonderful reception venue. See here for more information regarding booking Greycliffe Lawns.

Waterview Convention Centre Western Suburbs Google maps	The Waterview Convention Centre at Bi-Centennial Park (Homebush) is a large and spacious wedding reception venue. There's plenty of room for 300+ guests, so it's perfect for large weddings. The bars at the front of the venue are modern and very cool, and they open up to allow the park setting be used to it's best. As the name suggests, Waterview has a nice outlook over the Parramatta River.
